The Worcester PopUp, a program of The Worcester Cultural Coalition is seeking a qualified individual for its pilot mentorship program. We are a new concept cultural facility and creative catalyst incubator. Our mission includes a wide range of goals, from providing quality creative programs, art, and events for the betterment of the community to providing facility space and support for small business', entrepreneurs, community organizations, and educational facilities in the city of Worcester.
Applicant should be 18 years of age or older. Applicant should be a resident of worcester and passionate about creative culture as a means of community building. Applicant should be excited to learn on the job while assisting in the wide spectrum of duties necessary to maintain the smooth operation of a cultural facility such as ours. Applicant should be able to commit 20 to 30 hours per week, including weekend hours and evenings. Applicant should be able to commit to a position for at least three months. This is a paid mentorship position.
The position may include but may not be limited to duties such as:
- Interaction with interested event programmers
- Outreach and programing cultivation
- Handling of sales
- Liaison between PopUp, partners, and community organizations
- Upkeep of social media accounts and website
- Acting as surrogate when managing director is unavailable
- Occasional exchange opportunities with partner organizations
