"Tropical/Temperate" features new and existing works from artists Jennifer Teo, of the social art collective Post-Museum in Singapore, and Richard Streitmatter-Tran, based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Both artists have been selected for this year’s Southeast Asia Artists-in-Residence program at the Worcester Art Museum, made possible with the support of the Southeast Asian Coalition of Central Massachusetts and the Indochina Arts Partnership. Occurring midway into their six-week residency in Worcester, Streitmatter-Tran will debut new works examining visual intersections between his upbringing in Massachusetts and his professional practice in Vietnam, while Teo will exhibit works from her community-based project, Worcester Really Really Free Market, as well as from past RRFMs held in various other cities around the world.
